Stones Rolling Through Asia (and beyond)

Forget fireworks off of the London Eye, the competition for best New Year celebrations is over and its a comprehensive victory for the Thais.

After a very long day traveling from Koh Lanta to Samui on Tuesday we were hoping the following day’s Songkran celebrations would make it worth it.

Not only did it so just that, but it made us both feel like kids again as the everybody came out into the streets for one giant waterfight.

I managed to convince Claire that the last baht we had on us was better spent on a water gun than on sun cream, so with my SuperBlaster 1600 in hand we were ready.

It was mental, but so much fun. Some opted to make their water extra cold and icy as they launched it across the streets which in a way was a welcome relief in the heat.
